We have taught CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOPS to over a thousand schools and organisations, from pensioners on a World P&O cruise ship, through cubs, scouts, beavers, guides and brownies achieving their circus skills badges, to hen parties unicycling in Regent’s Park.
The most common CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOPS, though, are in schools. Our Circus Experience Day begins with a demonstration in assembly, and then goes on to teach multiple groups throughout the school day. We can also, of course, provide 1 or 2 hour workshops, after school clubs, half days, or more focussed sessions with one class or age group. We have also taught many workshops with students with physical, behavioural and educational special needs.
All our workshops, regardless of age or duration, are taught by fully D.B.S. checked staff, and are fully covered by Public Liability Insurance. All safeguarding and risk assessment documents are available on request.
Circus Active is based in London, and covers most of the South of England and midlands. We also sometimes travel further afield and abroad – please contact us for details.
Matt is a circus teacher and performer with 25 years experience, and holds not only a PGCE and Masters Degree in Drama, but also has performed his act at the Big Top at the Glastonbury Festival, and at the London Palladium. He has taught Circus Workshops at over a thousand schools and organisations. His focus is to make CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOPS about learning and laughing in equal measure.
